THE MIND OF DLG DELUGE

DLG Deluge was created as a home—a space where Devin Lewis-Green’s work could exist in its entirety, without compromise. More than a portfolio, it’s a personal archive shaped by memory, inquiry, and voice. Devin built this site to showcase his writing on his own terms, beyond the boundaries of format or approval. From poetry and essays to literary nonfiction and legal analysis, each piece lives here in full—unfiltered, intentional, and accessible. This isn’t just a collection; it’s a body of work in conversation with itself.

Devin Lewis-Green is a first-year student at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and a proud recipient of the Dean’s Fellow Award for the Class of 2028. His pursuit of law is rooted in a commitment to justice, access, and transformation—born from lived experience and a desire to uplift voices often left unheard. Devin sees legal advocacy as a natural extension of his storytelling: shaping truth into action, and narrative into change. He enters the profession not just to practice law, but to help shape it into a more compassionate and equitable tool for change.

Long before law school, there was language. For Devin Lewis-Green, creativity isn’t a pastime—it’s an innate instinct. Writing became his way of witnessing the world, giving shape to memory, and reclaiming silence. As a poet, essayist, and storyteller, Devin sees himself as an eternal student of life and humanity—drawn to the tension between vulnerability and structure, chaos and clarity. Whether he’s crafting verse or narrative nonfiction, his work is driven by the need to express what often goes unsaid. The creative is not separate from the advocate—it is the lens through which Devin sees, listens, and ultimately, writes.
